About Me
Debbie Woody was born in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. She first moved to United States when she was 20 and has since then lived in Montana, Arizona, Alaska, Idaho, North Carolina, East Tennessee and now in North Alabama since March of 2006. She feels that this has given her a diverse and openminded viewpoint about people and ways to market real estate in the changing real estate marketplace. She first got her real estate licence in 1981 in Anchorage, Alaska and sold real estate several years there and has also been in involved with property management and other support aspects of real estate. In addition she also has a writers background. At one time she had her own newspaper column and has written and had published numerous feature stories. She feels that this gives her an advantage when it comes to creating advertising formats and designing marketing techniques for her listings.
She has lived an interesting and full life to include her husband and her building a home in the woods near Kenai, Alaska themselves at first without even electricity. They owned an 80 acre ranch in Harrison, Idaho and raised paint horses, she has made a couple of television commercials while living in Alaska, flown from Alaska to Calgary in the cockpit of a 737 airplane, and traveled Canada, United States and Belize extensively. When she and her husband, daughter and two grandchildren moved to the Athens area they purchased a home with 9 acres in the West Limestone area and spend the first year remodelling it and September 2007 returned to selling real estate and now has an Alabama and Tennessee real estate licence. Her other passions are gardening when she has the time, her family and helping others accomplish their dreams.
